Q: How to access CAREnet
A: Using a web browser on the SJHS network, log on to www.mycarenet.org
The CAREnet Log-On Page will appear, click 'New User' to register the first
time. User will walk through several steps to validate ID, and assign his/her
unique ID and password. (CAREnet is not available externally over the Internet
at this time)
Q: Unable to access the URL
A: PC must have Internet Explorer version 5.5 or greater, with 128-bit encryption.
Q: User entered ID and Password,
but CAREnet will not accept
A: Some users attempt to use their Novell ID and password. Each user must register
the first time when accessing CAREnet. The ID assigned may or may not be the
same as their Novell ID (first initial, last name up to eight characters). They
must use the ID assigned during registration and the User ID is a maximum of
8 characters.
Q: User Forgot Password
A: Click 'Forget Password' and user will be prompted to validate ID, and assign
a new password.
Q: User entered Password,
but CAREnet will not accept
A: Passwords are at least eight (8) characters, and case-sensitive. If still
no success, click 'Forget Password' and assign new password.
Q: Attempt to Register, but CAREnet cannot
find employee
A: Only SJHS employees have access to CAREnet. If user is new hire within 1-2
weeks, CAREnet may have not received employee record yet. If not the case, open
ticket to check payroll feed. If user is a contractor or Perot Associate, open
a ticket to get them added to the system.
Q: How to Navigate
A: Use menu tabs at top of page, mouse-over to display additional menu items.
Navigation items on left frame can also be used e.g., Search, Quick Reference,
and Department information.
Q: How to access Forms and/or Policies
A: Use 'Resources' menu tab at top of page.
Q: Unable to launch and/or open Forms or
Policies
A: PC must have Adobe Reader 4.0, or greater, to launch .pdf documents. PC must
have MS-Viewer to launch .doc or .ppt documents, if not already running MS-Office
applications.
Q: User states his/her Name or Job
Title is incorrect in User Profile
A: This information is interfaced directly from each facility's payroll system
to CAREnet. Have user contact their HR Department, to correct.
Q: How to access Corporate Site
from within Facility Site
A: Under 'Access' menu, click 'St. Joseph System Office' menu item.
Q: How to return from Corporate
Site to Facility Site
A: Under 'Access' menu, click 'My Facility Homepage' menu item.
